Microsoft released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17666 (Redstone 5) to insiders in the fast and skip ahead rings. This is a big build with a number of new features, such as Sets improvements, a new Clipboard experience, dark theme for their file explorer, Linux & Mac line ending support in Notepad, Notepad Search with Bing, Search Previews, and custom Tile Folder names.
The latest Windows 10 Build 17666 is a big update with many new features and improvements which is available to download for Insiders enrolled in Fast and Skip Ahead Rings. You can get it by going to Settings>Update & Security>Windows Update>Check for Updates.

Microsoft is adding Cloud Clipboard in the latest build which brings new experience for users. Users will now be able to press WIN + V to be able to enjoy a new clipboard experience. You will be able to now pin the items from the clipboard along with being able to directly paste from the clipboard history.
The new clipboard experience in Windows 10 is powered by Microsoft’s cloud technology lets you access your clipboard across any PC. Users would need to enable this feature by going to Settings > System > Clipboard. The clipboard history supports plain text, HTML and images which are less than 1MB in size.
Microsoft Edge tabs are also getting some improvements with Microsoft adding all the recent tabs when you use Alt + Tab to quickly switch back and forth between apps. Muting tabs in Sets is now possible with Microsoft letting users to mute audio from a webpage by clicking on the volume icon visible on the tab. This option is similar to muting volume in Microsoft Edge.
Background performance of the opened tabs has now been improved significantly with the tab not using any resources in the background. A lot of tabs can be restored without facing any issues.
Amongst various other additions, Microsoft also showcased a dark theme for their file explorer. The company doesn’t have a full version of the dark theme at the current point of time but it teased how the file explorer would look if the ‘dark mode’ was implemented. The dark theme is meant to match Windows 10’s black taskbar and start menu. You can turn it on by heading to Settings > Personalization > Colors. Now, with the Dark Theme, the overall Windows 10 experience should be more uniform – if you like the look of it that is.

The company integrated the Bing search with the Notepad, which helps users to highlight words and search them right-away from the Notepad. Apart from this, users can also have results opened on a new page instead of a separate window by enabling the Sets.
Also, Microsoft Updated Notepad to support End of Line characters used by Linux, Unix, and Mac. This allows you to open files created in Linux or on a Mac in Notepad and have them render properly, rather than being displayed on a garbled single-line mess.
